President Goodluck Jonathan presents Hand Over notes to the President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR

President Goodluck Jonathan today  presented Hand Over notes to the President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR and urged  Nigerians to pray for and cooperate with the incoming government.

According to Sun newspaper, President Jonathan told him: “Our administration has done its best to intervene robustly and impact positively on key aspects of our national life.”

General Buhari is the first opposition leader in Nigeria to unseat an incumbent president at the polls.

  
According to Financial Times, Buhari  will be sworn in tomorrow against a back drop of falling revenues.
He pledged to stamp out corruption, invest in infrastructure and spread wealth more evenly across the country's 170million population.
