Germany Rewrites History, welcomes Refugees, pledges £4.9bn Gift

German Chancellor, Angela merkel  has said that Germany has become a country that many people outside of Germany now associate with hope. "This is something to cherish when you look back at our history."

According to Metro UK, the Chancellor has freed up an extra £2.45billion for regions across the country as it prepares for up to 800,000 refugees this year. That money will help them house the arrivals and another £2.45billion will fund expenses and benefits.

Some 2,500 more refugees arrived in Germany yesterday following an estimated 18,000 over the last weekend.
