Africans yet to embrace e-commerce

E-Commerce is growing around the world, but not in Africa despite smartphones penetration.
The reasons are obvious not far from Africa's lack of infrastructure, awareness , lack of digital skills, illiteracy, poverty ,etc.
According to Geopoll survey, it's only South Africa where 60percent buy items online compared with 45percent in Kenya and 66percent in Nigeria. Many people who had tried online shopping had only tried it once.
"E-commerce is set to become the fastest growing form of commerce.Just as automobiles, airplanes and electronics defined the 20th century, so will e-commerce of all kinds define business and society in the 21st century"-Kenneth.C. Laudon
