News publishers seek fair reward for their content to the digital ecosystem

News publishers are seeking a fair reward for their content which powers social media networks like Twitter and Facebook.

 According to the Sun Newspaper, digital journalism from UK news brands powers social media networks by supplying a major proportion of their content.

 The News Media Association says; "Content from brands like 'The Sun' make up 47percent of all interactions on sites like Facebook and Twitter, but they are not properly rewarded.

 The Association's Vice Chairman, David Dinsmore said; "No growth in ad revenues comes to publishers who invest billions", to produce content they add to the digital ecosystem.
